We were tired of listening to calls after it was too late.
Callium started as an internal tool at a 40-seat support desk that kept discovering problems a week after they happened.
Where this started
In 2023, our founding team ran quality assurance for a mid-sized support organization the old way: a spreadsheet, a sample of recordings, and a Friday afternoon spent listening back to calls from two weeks earlier. By the time a pattern was found, it had already cost the business a month of repeat complaints.
We built a small internal tool to transcribe calls as they happened instead of after. It found problems the same day they started. Eighteen months later, that internal tool was Callium.
What we believe
- Every call, not a sample
- A pattern found in 2% of calls is a pattern found too late.
- During, not after
- The most valuable moment to understand a call is while it can still be changed.
- Text you can cite
- A transcript is evidence. A summary is an opinion.
Callium today
Callium now runs on phone lines for sales teams, support desks, and regulated call centers across North America and Europe, processing several million minutes of conversation every month.
